The Es Anderson Equestrian Camp is a group horse camp located off Wildcat Canyon Rd. between Orinda and Berkeley, CA. It is in Tilden Regional Park. Es Anderson Equestrian Camp can hold roughly 25 rigs. It has railroad tie posts to tie horses to, stock water, no potable water, picnic tables, and pit toilets. Equestrian who want to use this horse camp should work with the local park staff to make sure the area is mowed. The entrance road has caused some problems with long horse rigs. Drivers must line the rigs up carefully as the gate is somewhat narrow. Long rigs can scrape the back of the horse trailer going from the pavement to the access road. The camp has potable water, pit toilets, horse trough, and posts to tie horses to or set up a picket line. Equestrians who want to camp here must transport their own camp gear by pack horses or on their saddle. Hay is provided, but I recommend working with Sunol staff to have them haul in the hay you want and you purchase. Fees are nominal.
